WHO WE ARE
One day, Leon Othen and Marty Walker, two ex-professional goalkeepers and now coaches, got caught up in a lengthy discussion sparked by a poor keeper swimming in oversized gloves. They discussed gloves that did not fit, gloves that were worn incorrectly and gloves that were far overpriced.
And then it struck them: what if we create our own brand of gloves?
A catalyst for player and product development, L1 strives to create professional grade gloves ranging in sizes to guarantee a great fit, while being priced affordably. The name celebrates the goalkeeper's growing role in total football, as the last line of defense and the first line of attack. Like the name, L1 Goalkeeper Gloves are progressive as well, coming in a range of cut styles, manufactured in ½ fit increments.
Soon to introduce its sixth model of gloves under the “F” name, the L1 brand has become known as the gloves created by goalkeepers for the benefit of goalkeepers. More than that, they became a bond for the community of goalkeepers, a high quality brand that leads to high quality play.
It’s no wonder that L1’s Gloves styles are named after stars, such as Aquilae, Breka, Corvus, Draconis and Electra.
